Glassboro council approves four street namings, holiday event permits

The Glassboro Mayor and Council approved four street namings and several event permits during their Nov. 26 meeting.
Clerk Karen requested approval of the proposed street names: Manganero Avenue, Mitchell Lane, Donnelly Court and Tucker Terrace. A council member moved to approve the four names; the motion passed after a recorded abstention on the Manganero Avenue naming was noted. The clerk noted the abstention but confirmed the motion carried.
The council also approved a street-closure application for St. Bridget's Hispanic Ministries for a Dec. 11 procession and granted facilities use for a ‘Burrow and Lights’ event on Dec. 6, 2024. Both items were moved, seconded and approved without additional comment.
These approvals will allow the events and name changes to proceed as scheduled; any objections or appeals were not recorded during the meeting.
