The Glassboro Council introduced Ordinance 24-34 on Nov. 26, a proposed third amendment to the Glassboro Central Business District redevelopment plan that identifies multiple blocks and lots for redevelopment under the project name "Woods Glassboro." The borough solicitor read the ordinance’s boundaries and parcel numbers aloud before the council voted to introduce the measure.
Ordinance 24-34 cites specific blocks and lots in the borough and Gloucester County — including Block 40, Lots 1, 2, 3, 4.02, 13 and multiple adjacent parcels — as part of a revitalization plan for East High Street and adjacent areas. The borough solicitor presented the introduction motion; council members moved, seconded and passed the motion to introduce the ordinance.
Because this meeting recorded only the ordinance’s introduction, the ordinance will return for a formal public hearing and potential adoption at a subsequent meeting. The introduction puts the amendment on the council’s legislative track and allows the borough to publish notice and solicit public comments before any final vote.
