Borough administrator outlines grants and project updates; $41,116 county open-space award announced

Staff is preparing grant applications including a Bergen County Community Development Block Grant for roadway improvements, a New Jersey Green Acres grant for lights at Williams Field (public hearing set for Jan. 20, 2025), and a congressional appropriation request for EPA funding for a sanitary sewer project.
The administrator also announced the borough had received a Bergen County Open Space grant in the amount of $41,116 to install a new pathway, benches and trash receptacles at Hardcastle Pond. The clerk noted Burrow Hall holiday hours and that the next Mayor and Council meeting will be the annual reorganization on Jan. 6 at 7 p.m.
Council asked no substantive follow-up questions on the bids and grants during the report; the administrator closed with housekeeping details.
