The New Milford Mayor and Council voted to adopt Ordinance 2024:29, authorizing the borough to acquire an easement on a portion of Block 1203 (267 Madison Avenue) at the VFW property to preserve it as open space.
The clerk read the ordinance, which the presiding officer described as applying to the undeveloped portion of the VFW parcel behind the lot at 267 Madison Avenue and intended to maintain that area as open space. The council opened the public hearing; no members of the public spoke on the ordinance. After closing the hearing, the council moved to adopt the ordinance on final reading and approved it by roll call.
