Falmouth Conservation Commission issues multiple orders, continues several hearings for revised plans

The Falmouth Conservation Commission met Sept. 18 via Zoom and approved a series of routine orders of conditions while continuing several hearings to allow applicants time to supply revised plans or required surveys.
Commissioners voted unanimously to accept staff recommendations and issue orders of conditions for a range of projects, including invasive species removal and restoration at 122 Gardner Road and septic and site adjustments at 134 Edgewater Drive. The board also approved mitigation and planting corrections for 125 Little Neck Bars Road and issued the appropriate orders after staff verified revised plans and plant species spacing.
The approvals were largely procedural and supported by staff reports. For 122 Gardner Road, staff confirmed on-site work had occurred but noted a few missed treatments; the commission supported a renewed eradication and replanting plan. For 134 Edgewater Drive, staff asked that float compliance be achieved before issuing a building permit and that small plan corrections be made; the commission added those conditions to the order.
Several hearings were continued to give applicants time to address missing materials. A request to continue an RDA for 30 Woodneck Road moved to Oct. 2; a notice of intent for 117 Little Neck Bars Road was continued to Oct. 30. The commission also continued the amendment for 44 Wacoit Landing (raise-and-rebuild foundation) to Sept. 25 so the applicant can supply revised architectural and foundation plans, and continued the large 24 Willis Lane amendment to Oct. 16 to allow submission of astroturf specifications, a shellfish survey for proposed wave-break removal, and clarified mitigation placement.
The meeting was evenly divided between director-led staff presentations and commissioner questions; no controversial votes were taken on these routine items and all recorded votes were unanimous. The commission adjourned after completing the listed business.
