The Eastchester High School Players Club received eight Metros nominations for its spring production of Guys and Dolls, the board heard Tuesday.
Director Jeremy Messer and production staff described the show’s technical and creative work, including a custom LED Times Square wall and student‑led prop engineering. Messer called the students “professional” in their approach and highlighted Jackson Boyer’s technical‑merit nomination for designing and producing safe, convincingly breaking sugar wine bottles used in a fight scene.
Nick Soshin and other staff credited students and the adult production team—choreographer Mara Dabi, set and costume designers and crew—for the nominations and awards. Board members and community volunteers praised the program’s educational value and the opportunity it gives students to develop stage, design and production skills.
No formal board action was taken; the board offered congratulations and public recognition.
