Milford City Council authorized the city manager to renew a five‑year agreement with the Bureau of Land Management to continue offering 'Tube Hill' as a tubing site and received a set of administrative updates from staff.
City Manager Mikaela explained the BLM agreement must be renewed every five years if the city wishes to continue using Tube Hill as a tubing location; staff recommended renewal and asked the council to authorize the manager to sign. Council member Ian moved to authorize the manager to sign the lease agreement with the BLM; Scott seconded the motion and the council approved it on a voice vote.
Staff also briefed council on a planned GIS hosting change: Milford’s mapping system (currently with Sunrise Engineer) will migrate to an ARC website platform while retaining the existing monthly cost of $600. Mikaela said Hinton Burdick will present the FY23‑24 financial audit at the Dec. 17 meeting. Staff informed the council that Beaver County will deed 900 South (from 300 West to 200 West) to Milford City; the city already maintains and collects road funds for the segment. The council approved library board appointments of Sherry Yardley and Lynae Malcus.
Staff asked council members to review a draft temporary lease for the RV park and to consider options for the Lodging Enterprise entrance sign. The manager will sign the BLM agreement and follow up with staff reports to the council in subsequent meetings.
