Hurricane — The City Council approved two hangar‑lease assignments at the municipal airport after unanimous recommendation from the airport board.
Council considered the assignment of a 20‑year lease (originally dated June 26, 2018) for Pad 6 South from the Norman R. and Patricia E. Anderson family trust to Motive Arrow LLC and a second assignment for Pad 5 South involving the Robert J. Davis/Douglas Jones trust. Staff explained assignments follow a purchase of hangar improvements by the new owner and that the leases allow assignments with council approval.
Council moved and voted to approve both lease assignments by voice vote. Staff noted leases run under their original terms and that hangar owners remain responsible for property taxes on improvements.
What’s next: City staff will process assignment documentation (bill of sale/assignment) and finalize the lease transfers.
