Board members and public commenters asked whether the city can extend similar overlays to private airfields such as Sky Ranch; staff said private airports currently fall outside city jurisdiction and pledged to follow up with county staff and state legislators on authority questions.
The board's recommendation will forward the ordinance language and updated map to the City Council for final action.
