Local broadband provider says North Fairfield tower will be finished soon and fiber down Main Street expected early 2025

The presenter (identified by the mayor as Brett) said back-ordered equipment had arrived and that preparations were underway to build a North Fairfield tower to improve wireless service in tree-obstructed areas. He said crews will perform measurements on power poles in early January to enable paperwork with Rocky Mountain Power to pull fiber, and that he hopes to pull fiber along Main Street as early as February and then extend service down other streets.
He also said the wireless core network and routing equipment are being upgraded to newer devices intended to improve reliability. He asked residents to report tree obstructions that may affect service and said upgrades will continue after the holidays.
What happens next: Provider crews will finalize the tower, coordinate pole work with Rocky Mountain Power, and begin service upgrades and fiber runs in phases starting along Main Street.
