Council hears sheriff's report on patrols, abandoned trailer and ATV complaints; approves corrected minutes

Councilmembers also reported RV or squatter activity near the railroad; a council member said the railroad will return with an officer to remove the occupant.
Members described repeated complaints about teenagers riding all-terrain vehicles near the cemetery and a noisy blue side-by-side vehicle, saying operators appeared to be minors and that local rules require registration and a minimum age. A council member warned of crash risk in roadside ditches and said staff has video evidence of unsafe behavior.
On procedural business, council corrected a numeric error in the draft minutes (the minutes mistakenly listed "18,000 million" where the correct figures are a $4,000,000 grant and a $500,000 loan). Tom Little moved to approve the minutes with that correction, Edward Acur seconded, and the motion passed unanimously according to the transcript. The mayor postponed approval of fire-department radio-installation work to solicit more bids. The council reviewed payroll and vendor invoices for signature (including Kendra Norman payroll and several vendors) and then adjourned after a motion by Tom Little and a second by Karen Caldwell.
