The Bluff Town Council approved a motion on Dec. 10 to hire a graphic designer and spend $1,000 to support the town’s Dark Sky designation application. The chair said the designer would work with Sarah Burack to assemble the application; council members noted the designer's initial run may require modest additional fine-tuning beyond the $1,000, and the town had budgeted $5,000 for Dark Sky work.
A separate motion to approve the Dark Sky nomination letter (to be sent to project staff, including Sarah Burack) was moved and seconded; council members voted aye and the motion passed unanimously. The chair said he would forward the letter and coordinate inclusion of the nomination materials in the application packet.
