Board discussion touched on timing, workload distribution, and whether the chart appeared top-heavy; Dr. Stifler said the number of positions remains similar to the existing structure and that the color coding in the presentation reflected evaluation responsibilities, not pay changes. Several members said the timing and approach were appropriate.
A motion to approve the proposed organizational chart and to post the positions passed unanimously, 5-0. The superintendent said the postings will remain open until filled and that staff will return with candidate recommendations as hires progress.
Board members requested continued attention to fiscal prudence and noted that a future superintendent could revisit the chart structure. The action authorizes staff to post the specified positions and begin recruitment.
