Edison councilors press staff for raw AI street-condition output

Councilman Brasher said he wanted the raw per-street list that the AI program produces "to see what the data looks like so I understand what it does," adding he did not want the output pre-correlated with the township's current street list. "If this was a human task I get it but this is a computer program that we're paying for," he said, asking why the raw report could not be produced more quickly.
Town staff responded that the list is being worked on and that some earlier comments were due to a misunderstanding about whether the AI output had been correlated with the current street list. Staff offered to provide a general report by street showing the AI outputs so council members can review the raw results.
Council members asked for a simple per-street export of the AI program's findings rather than a pre-aggregated or correlated product; staff said they would follow up and supply the requested data.
The request is procedural: council requested the raw AI output for oversight and to better evaluate how the tool is being used in street prioritization and maintenance planning.
