Separately, Councilman Patil moved to table Resolution 5-76 — described in the meeting as a resolution authorizing the township to accept an NJDOT grant for Jackson Avenue rehabilitation — and the council voted to table it indefinitely after brief discussion and a clarification from an audience member that confirmed the item number and purpose.
On financial items, the council approved Resolution 6-25 (disbursements) after a council member questioned a payment to Consortium Print Group for printing of the township newsletter (the "Illuminator"); staff said the contract had been bid and estimated the cost at about $43,000 and that the line item would be confirmed. The council also approved Resolution 6-35, a change order; Councilman Brasher stated he did not agree with the change order and voted "No," while the motion passed.
