Residents from Nottingham Road and Jackson Avenue told the Edison Township Council on Oct. 21 that their streets are unsafe and that proposed engineering changes have not been properly explained.
Paul Finkel, a longtime Nottingham Road resident, and neighbors said Nottingham Road has never been paved in 30 years and described repeated patchwork repairs, lack of sidewalks and at least one serious injury when a visitor fell into a pothole and broke her nose. "The road has never been paved," Finkel said. "It's in terrible condition."
