Jean Olsen and Amy Ulrich, the district's music curriculum coordinators, told the board that elementary equipment is frequently transported between buildings and that new purchases would support consistent, simultaneous instruction and lessen repair burdens for instruments many teachers currently must fix themselves. The committee recommended a K–12 music materials acquisition not to exceed $133,262.27 funded through the referendum curriculum budget; the board moved and approved that recommendation as part of the committee consent items.
The committee also recommended and the board approved other curriculum housekeeping and student-handbook updates (elementary agenda planner inserts and handbook revisions for Wisconsin Rapids Middle School and Lincoln High School) and approved a three-year renewal for EduCLIMBER (Renaissance) at $70,500 paid upfront from the 2025–26 curriculum technology referendum budget. The EduCLIMBER platform was presented as a centralized system for academic, behavioral and attendance data with vendor-provided professional development and staff training included.
All committee recommendations were taken together via motion and approved under the consent agenda during the meeting.
