Ben Worrall described the curb ramp package (engineer’s estimate $600,000) to replace 100 ramps at roughly 25 intersections identified through resident complaints; the ramps will be ADA‑compliant and will not assess adjacent properties. Bids were due May 14 with construction anticipated to take about a year, though each ramp work area should be substantially complete within 10 working days.
Jeff Coughran presented two park projects: Skyhawks Park ADA compliance (estimated $260,000; bids due May 14) to bring the park and RC airfield into full ADA compliance, and a larger Tuma Sports Complex ADA project (estimated $1,492,000) that will add over a mile of concrete sidewalks, 28 ADA parking stalls and address trip hazards; Tuma was identified as the system's most visited venue with ~260,000 annual visitors.
Doug Wilson presented the First Avenue West/I‑380 southbound off‑ramp realignment (engineer’s estimate $640,000) to improve safety by realigning the ramp, replacing storm sewer, reconstructing sidewalks and upgrading signals; council approved the resolutions to proceed on all projects.
