Lake Clarke Shores — The Town Council voted to approve Resolution 2024-26 to raise water and sewer service rates by 2.9% for fiscal year 2024–25.
Staff explained the town has not increased water rates in over a decade and sewer rates in 17 years; a 2020 rate study suggested larger increases would be required if no incremental action is taken. The town recommended a modest annual cost-of-living-style increase to maintain operating budgets and build capital replacement funds for aging infrastructure.
The motion passed after discussion of reserve levels and the need to fund future capital projects such as water-main replacement. Council approved the resolution by voice vote.
