Staff presented the redlined agreement from Albertville, which staff described as written to cover service for Jan. 1, 2025, through Dec. 31, 2025, and which includes new whereas clauses and language (notably paragraph 9) that, Albertville officials have said, would remove Albertville’s obligation to provide emergency response to Otsego properties after Dec. 31, 2025 unless the two cities agree on a 2026 contract. City staff and the city attorney recommended the council either approve the 2025 agreement or direct staff to ask Albertville whether it would expand the term to include 2026.
