Nancy Frassella Lee and other commissioners supported seeking a permanent seat. Commissioners noted the land-use planning subgroup has been meeting roughly twice a month when active (late Oct.–Dec. schedule cited). The chair agreed to draft a letter to the Select Board and to the land‑use committee chair; she said the letter would be ready by Monday and offered it to Lauren Meyer for input. Lauren indicated willingness to serve but asked for clarification of the time commitment; several commissioners volunteered to attend some meetings or serve as alternates.

Why it matters: A standing commission seat on the MCI Concord advisory group would allow the Historical Commission to raise preservation concerns early in project planning and to coordinate documentation and review needs with town planning efforts.

Next steps: Chair will draft and circulate the nomination letter to the Select Board and committee chair; staff pledged to coordinate and report back to the commission on meeting dates and expectations.
