The West Concord Advisory Committee met to compile and refine accomplishments for its January annual report, saying it will include the committee's work evaluating the West Concord master plan and developing design guidelines, expanded coordination with the Planning Board, and outreach products such as a Greenway presentation and supportive letters for local projects.
Committee members said the panel completed review work this year on the West Concord master plan and the town-design guidelines and established a clearer line of communication with the Planning Board, including an agreement to hold two joint meetings per year. The committee also noted it recruited new members and reviewed significant development proposals, including the proposed 166 Com Ave project that did not proceed during 2024. "We created a presentation so that we can share this idea more widely," one member said of the Greenway slides the group plans to include with the report.
The committee agreed to standardize how it marks items on its project spreadsheet (for example: complete, partially complete, not started, no longer applicable) and to add sortable columns for MCI relevance and funding availability so the list can be shared more clearly with MCI consultants and other town committees. Members suggested adding photos to make the annual report more visual. The committee said it will circulate a draft by email and finalize the report at the next meeting in January so it can be submitted on time.
The meeting also recorded routine housekeeping: volunteers will complete outstanding minutes, and the facilitator will collect additions and circulate a draft report for final edits before submission to town staff.
