The Warner’s Pond Task Force and DOC contacts identified alternate space near the pond (between the Bruce Freeman Trail and Route 2) and discussed moving material to 2229 Main Street where reuse demand may exist; the CEHDC Junction Village parcel was offered as a possible backup if needed.
Public outreach reported plans to create a virtual tour of the property to accompany citizen materials and to support RFP respondents who will need surface or on-the-ground access; staff said they contacted Jeff Quick, who provided DOC contacts (including an acting DOC media-relations director, Scott Couture/Courteau) to help arrange access or media support. The committee discussed coordinating that work with Donna McIntosh and John Boynton and noted a Warner’s Pond Task Force meeting that evening would include a dam-removal subgroup presentation.
No formal decisions about dredging methods or spoils disposal were made at the meeting; members noted next steps would be coordination with the Task Force, DOC contacts and RFP respondents as the RFP is finalized.
