Lexington council approves consent agenda and several appointments

At the Nov. 25 meeting council approved the consent agenda, reappointed and appointed multiple citizens to boards and commissions — including Laura Duran, David Hiller, Elizabeth O'Connell and Marylena Baldwin — and confirmed other routine items by voice vote.

Appointments and reappointments approved included Laura Duran to the Lexington Local Firefighters Relief Fund Board; Elizabeth O'Connell to fill a vacant Parks & Recreation seat in Ward 4; David Hiller’s reappointment for Ward 6; and Marylena Baldwin as the Chamber representative to the Lexington Tourism Authority after Ashley Moore declined reappointment. Several other appointments were discussed and in some cases held for a future meeting pending applications or follow-up.
Council also approved the consent agenda and the minutes from the Nov. 12 and Nov. 19 meetings earlier in the session. Where recorded, motions were made and seconded and the council approved the items by voice vote.
