The Concord Community Preservation Committee reported it received about seven funding applications this cycle totaling roughly $1.5 million, down from about 18–19 applications last year, the committee said.
Burton Flint told the Select Board the lion’s share of the current request pool falls into two main proposals: a roughly $740,000 transfer to the town Housing Trust and a request for improvements to the fields at Thoreau School. Smaller requests include $90,000 for Phase 2 of Duro Park design, about $50,000 for a preservation survey of modern structures and roughly $32,000 in staff funding plus $50,000 for library document preservation work tied to historical materials.
Committee members noted that available match funding from the state is uncertain and that any unspent local CPA funds would remain in reserves. The committee said it will finalize allocations after accounting for the state match and required set-asides.
