Yarmouth conservation commission approves beach‑raking conditions, continues dock application and issues certificates of compliance

At its Nov. 21 meeting the Yarmouth Conservation Commission approved a continued Notice of Intent from the Pines Association for seasonal beach raking and sand fencing (DEP file SE8032455) with special conditions: sand fencing September–April, installation within 10 feet of the dune and standard raking conditions per the seaweed management policy. The motion carried unanimously.
The Commission also granted a continuance for a dock proposal (SE83‑2452, applicant Alexander Naimanoff) to Jan. 16, 2025, at the applicant consultant's request.
Staff reported that requests for surveys of compliance were in order and the Commission issued Certificates of Compliance for multiple files (SE80316186, SE8032401, SE803254). The Commission approved the minutes of Nov. 7, 2024, and adjourned later in the meeting.
These administrative actions included standard conditions intended to protect dune and coastal resources while allowing seasonal stewardship work when DEP indicated no comments on the application.
