The Yarmouth Conservation Commission on Dec. 19 voted to issue an order of conditions with special conditions for a proposed culvert removal and stream crossing work at 370 Ware Road for applicants Doreen and Harvey Wright.
Commission staff summarized the Department of Environmental Protection file review and recommended conditions including restoring any damaged buffer zones, seeding and blanketing slopes created after the removal of a dam and that no stream crossing be replaced without a new Notice of Intent. A staff member said the DEP's only comment was to require that damaged buffers be restored.
Commissioners signaled agreement on those special conditions during the discussion. A motion to issue the order of conditions with the special conditions was made, seconded and carried.
The order imposes the conditions discussed and will be issued to the applicants; further regulatory steps (permits or requests for additional information) would follow if the project scope changes.
