Jefferson County commissioners approve multiple contract awards, budget transfers and ban on open burning

Under risk management, the court renewed participation in the Southeast Texas Government Employee Benefits Pool and corrected a typographical error in the basic life insurance rate (stated as 0.08 per thousand per month).
