During the Nov. 26 meeting the council reviewed a written finance report (read by staff on behalf of Mayor Ruby) showing sales tax receipts about 2% above budget for the first three months of the fiscal year, while recent months trended below budget; building-permit revenue was meeting expectations.

Public Works updates covered recent snow operations, leaf collection and ongoing capital projects. Council Member Pulver and staff described the Waterworks Park as a hands-on learning feature, not a traditional splash pad: "It's more of a learning, water table compared to like a splash pad," one staff member said, explaining that children can move water, operate wheels and learn basic hydrology.

Staff also reported the main waterline project is close to completion with one final tie-in next week, after which crews will finish asphalt repairs.

In public comment Jason Hadley, representing the North Ogden community band, thanked the city for support, noted the band performed for thousands over the summer and asked for help from staff in applying for grants to buy percussion and other community instruments.

Council closed the meeting after noting upcoming community meetings and scheduling items.
