Committee approves consolidation of Henderson State governance into ASU system board

Senator English said the Higher Learning Commission approved a change-of-control application on Nov. 5 and that Henderson State will retain its name and continue to receive its own appropriation while becoming a campus of the ASU system. The bill was described as the final step in the merger process. The committee passed SB 116 by voice vote.
