The East Islip Union Free School District Board ratified a memorandum of agreement dated March 31, 2025 between the district and the United Public Service Employees Union and authorized the board president and superintendent to execute the collective-bargaining agreement incorporating those terms.
During the same meeting the board approved certified and noncertified personnel resolutions (including appointments, leaves, tenure and salary changes), appropriation changes for the 2024–25 school year, and consent-agenda items numbered 8.2 through 8.11. Board motions and seconds were followed by voice votes recorded in the transcript as "Aye."
Separately, the board voted to rescind acceptance of a 2017 donation of a Mercury Marquis from Lee's Auto Body because of the vehicle’s condition and because the district never took possession; the owner of record asked to dispose of the vehicle.
The motions on personnel and the contract were presented as routine business; the transcript does not contain a roll-call tally for the union agreement or personnel items, only standard voice votes.
