Lennox council approves ambulance grant application and letter of support for neighboring EMS study

Separately, staff recommended and council approved a letter of support for a neighboring jurisdiction’s EMS study application; staff said the two applications are not a conflict of interest because the city does not directly benefit financially from the neighboring grant even if the awards would come from the same funding pool.
On routine business, the council approved resolution 2024‑92301 clarifying the city does not charge nonresident library fees, and resolution 2024‑92302 to surplus several iPads (three to be repurposed for ambulance/fire use, two to be destroyed). Motions and votes were recorded and carried during the meeting.
The council did not specify long‑term procurement timelines for the ambulance equipment beyond approving the grant application; staff will proceed with the application and report back as awards are announced.
