Yarmouth committee approves summer reading and orchestra grants; baseball all-star talk continues

Mindy, youth services librarian for the Yarmouth town libraries, asked the committee for $9,175 to expand the 2025 summer reading program. Mindy said the library removed age limits to make the program "all inclusive and made it accessible to all," highlighted 41 community volunteers who provide donated prizes, and told the committee that overall participation has grown roughly 50% over the last three years with a marked increase among adults. Mindy said last summer the youth services department ran 78 distinct activities and that the library offers both paper and online tracking options and accessibility-friendly formats for people with vision impairment.
