The motion included language that, should the new Title IX rule be enjoined in Iowa by court order, the prior Title IX policies and regulations in effect as of June 2024 would be automatically reinstated until further board action. Board members thanked staff for their work on the policy language. The administration said the policies would return for a second reading at the next regular board meeting in accordance with the stated effective date language.
