Committee members noted the program includes routine maintenance at selected shops and claim handling by Enterprise’s adjuster, though some historic claims have required parish payments. One committee member summarized the recommendation: "Let them take the amounts...apply it to the new vehicles and enter into leases for the 3 new vehicles." The committee voted to recommend proceeding; staff said the jury would consider the recommendation the following week.
The committee also directed staff to time vehicle turn-ins so the parish would not be left short a vehicle, noting a 60‑day window to return old trucks after taking possession of new ones under program rules.
