Council members and residents raised safety concerns about potholes, striping and nighttime visibility; staff said short‑term repairs or striping are possible but cautioned about cost and limited long‑term benefit given the pending reconstruction. Several council members noted the project’s federal funding and the approval steps that accompany changes to scope or schedule.
Next steps: staff will continue utility work, coordinate with AT&T and other utilities, and advance culvert installation to enable construction of a temporary road prior to main roadway reconstruction.
