After discussion the committee coalesced around three broad subcommittees: legal and government affairs (state liaisons and town liaisons), land use planning and strategy (master planning, financial feasibility, technical assistance like ULI TAP), and communications and community engagement (public outreach, messaging, PR). Members emphasized that project management and a rapid-response function should be cross-cutting to keep the timeline coordinated with DCAM and consultant work.
Members also stressed the need for clearer town staff liaisons to avoid confusion about who will field requests and synthesize materials; Shannon and Megan were identified in discussion as staff contacts who will help circulate materials and coordinate. The committee agreed to circulate a revised subcommittee draft to Shannon before the next meeting; members will indicate which subcommittees they want to join and preliminary charters will be an agenda item at the next meeting.
