City staff updated the council on construction closeout steps for the new City Hall and a related project payout. Staff reported that Empire Construction provided a multi-page punch list and is assembling warranties and operations manuals; a final walkthrough is scheduled for June 20. Staff said final change orders and payment will be held until closeout items are confirmed.
The council heard that AV equipment for the new building arrived and that administrators helped unload it in the rain. On that basis the council approved payout request number 10. The mayor reminded members that the July 1 meeting will move to the new City Hall and begin at 7 p.m., and staff will send notices to the public about the location change.
Separately, bids for the park building will open June 25 as staff continues coordination with SEH, Game, Fish & Parks and the National Park Service.
