One honored outgoing fire chief David Signor and designated Wednesday, May 1, 2024, as Fire Chief David Signor Day in the Village of Elmsford. Williams also proclaimed May 4–5, 2024, as National Fallen Firefighters Memorial weekend and “respectfully encourag[ed]… citizens to remember and pay respect to the survivors of our fallen heroes by pausing for a moment of silence at 12:00PM noon on Sunday, 05/05/2024,” language included in the proclamation.
