Jamestown adopts Bicycle and Pedestrian Master Plan, asks staff to prioritize costs

Jamestown’s Town Council adopted the Bicycle and Pedestrian Master Plan to guide future road improvements and nonmotorized projects. Town planner Lisa Bridal asked the council to accept the plan as policy and project guidance; Eric from Beta Engineering, who presented the plan at a prior meeting, was noted as present.
One council member called the document “terrific” and described it as aspirational—containing items that can be done quickly and others that require more planning. Members asked staff to prioritize high-impact items and return with cost estimates so the town can identify a path forward. The motion to adopt the plan was moved, seconded and approved.
