Council approved pay request No. 13 to D & G Concrete in the amount of $513,378.60 for work on the Third Street reconstruction project.
Lance Mayer of DGR Engineering told council crews poured mainline and installed utilities, reported new asphalt placed recently and said mainline paving could be completed ‘‘by possibly Tuesday next week’’ if weather cooperates. "We should have a, hopefully, a paved road by October," Mayer said, adding the substantial completion date is listed as Oct. 4 and that remaining items were largely punch-list work.
Staff said water, sanitary sewer and most underground work is complete and that topsoil and final items remain weather-dependent. Council moved to approve the contractor pay request and the motion carried on a voice vote.
