The Barrington Town Council voted unanimously to award the remaining Walker Farm onshore dock structure contract to Narragansett Improvement Company for $79,227.27.
Town staff said five bids were received and the project engineer recommended Narragansett Improvement as the lowest responsible bidder. The work completes the onshore tie‑in for a floating dock and gangway used for kayak and shell launching.
Funding sources cited during the motion included $20,000 previously allocated from ARPA, $30,000 from a parks and trails capital reserve and $30,000 from the climate mitigation reserve. Council amended the award to include a 5% contingency and approved the amended motion by roll call.
Councilors discussed the contingency and confirmed that the town manager—s funding breakdown would be part of the motion. The contract was authorized and staff were directed to finalize the award.
