Cafeteria report: June meal counts, reimbursement and participation rates reviewed

Mister Bondi told the operations committee that cafeteria operations recorded a month loss of $50,622 and a year-to-date surplus of $157,591.
"We served 41,178 meals during the month of June, and we are expecting $98,120 in reimbursement, based on June's activity," Mister Bondi said. He also noted that the district received a $21,069 state reimbursement for free and reduced-price meals for June.
Bondi walked the committee through documents B1–B8, including meal-count comparisons with last year, an inventory activity summary and participation rates: breakfast participation in June was 46.1% at elementary schools, 17.6% at the middle school and 10.3% at the high school; lunch participation was 52.5% at elementary, 52.1% at middle and 21.8% at high school.
The operations committee took consensus to accept the cafeteria documents (B1–B8). Bondi said there were no additional complaints logged for June; the stable funds tracker and balance sheet were also distributed.
