The Madison City Commission on July 15 approved two resolutions to authorize SRF (State Revolving Fund) financing for the Eagan Avenue improvements project — one resolution for drinking-water work and one for clean-water (sewer) work.
Jameson, presenting the items together, said these are standard SRF resolutions and emphasized that staff are still exploring other funding options. “These are 2 resolutions related to SRF financing, for the Egan Avenue Improvements Project,” he said, noting one covers the water system and the other covers the sewer system and that approving the resolutions begins the SRF financing process.
Commissioners moved, seconded and approved both resolutions during the meeting. Staff said the approvals position the city to pursue SRF assistance but that a final funding choice could change if alternative sources become available.
