Board members were reminded that two bid-board seats are up at the end of the year and set a timeline for follow-up work.
Stephanie, a staff member, told the board that the ordinance establishing staggered terms means two members — Tim Smith and Austin Iverson — are up for reappointment or replacement at year-end. The board directed staff to distribute the motel-owner survey in October, collect responses in November and meet in December to review findings and vendor proposals so the SEA board and SDA can act in January.
Members discussed timing and agreed that an early-December meeting would allow the group to absorb survey results and potential proposals and provide more targeted direction to city staff and the SEA board. The chair adjourned the meeting with no further comments.
