Rezoning — Hackberry Holdings LLC: Commissioners heard that Hackberry Holdings seeks to change specific lots in Weaver Square from R-3 (medium-density residential) to highway business to permit construction of a cold-storage building that would cross current lot lines. Notices were sent and one written response favored rezoning; the commission moved and approved the rezoning by roll call.
Plan approval — Megawatt: The commission approved a simple plan to add a wash bay on the west side of Megawatt’s existing highway-business property at 601 East Bruce Street. Staff and commissioners said existing asphalt and drainage meant the addition should not create drainage problems.
Administrative notes: The commission set its next meeting date and reminded members of a public input session the next day at 2:00 p.m. for Planning & Zoning; public presentations are limited to three minutes and no action will be taken on items not on the agenda.
