The Board of Zoning Adjustment approved a modified conditional use permit that expands the Javanon Soccer Club’s property by about 1.34 acres for outdoor training while retaining existing setbacks and buffers.
Amy Brooks of the Office of Planning told commissioners the modification meets CUP standards; the applicant confirmed no new structures, lighting or parking are proposed and that the additional land would be used for practice and to preserve higher quality playing fields. Mike Hill of the project team said the added land will be used for outdoor grassy practice space and that an 8‑foot privacy fence already on the north side provides screening from a nearby home.
Board members asked that a landscape plan be approved in accordance with Chapter 10 of the Land Development Code prior to issuance of building permits; the motion approved the CUP with that and other standard conditions listed in staff’s report.
