County awards courthouse museum renovation contract to Spectra Company; first milestone set for October 2025

Nathan Burey, director of public works, told the board DBW staff accepted bids and awarded the contract and that work began at the beginning of the year. Scaffolding has been erected and crews have begun surface preparation. The project schedule identifies an initial milestone: completion of the first 80 linear feet starting at the courthouse steps by October 2025 to preserve public access and presentability for the county's 150-year celebration; the remainder of the work is expected to be completed in spring 2026.
Supervisors thanked community members and staff involved in securing funding and support; the board approved the item by unanimous voice vote and directed staff to proceed.
