The Gwinnett County Board of Commissioners on March 18 voted to table consideration of an agenda item seeking to abandon a section of right-of-way known as Bermuda Road until its April 22 meeting. County staff told commissioners they were not yet prepared to proceed with a final vote, and the board agreed to postpone action rather than take up a resolution at the session.
The item, identified in staff materials as an abandonment of a portion of Bermuda Road in Land Lot 60 of the Sixth District, had previously been the subject of a public hearing. County attorney staff asked the board to delay final action to allow additional time for follow-up; a motion to table was made and seconded and the chair called the measure approved after a voice vote of “aye.”
Commissioners did not record a roll-call tally during the meeting. The item will return to the board’s agenda on April 22 for further consideration. No changes to county policy or ownership were implemented at this meeting; tabling preserves the existing right-of-way pending the board’s next review.
