Select Board approves routine business: appointment, tax-deed waiver, payroll and accounts payable

The Tamworth Select Board handled multiple administrative items during its Aug. 8 meeting, including appointments, tax items and fiscal approvals.
Appointments and waivers: the board voted to appoint Joseph Coco to the town Traffic Safety Committee; the committee's first meeting is scheduled for Aug. 19. The board also voted to accept the 2024 tax-deed waiver for Map 415, Lot 90, Sub Lot 35.
Fiscal approvals: the board reported a bank balance of $5,150,028.58 and approved payroll and accounts-payable motions. The accounts-payable warrant approved at the meeting totaled $355,503.85, with major line items noted in the discussion including the school ($306,126), ambulance ($18,600) and fire-equipment/apparatus purchases ($6,000 listed among big items). Roll-call votes on routine minutes and nonpublic minutes were recorded and passed.
Procedural items: the board took and recorded votes to go into and out of nonpublic session under RSA 91-A and confirmed that the nonpublic minutes would not be sealed. Several other routine motions (current-use applications, PA-35 veteran-credit removals and other assessor items) were approved by roll call.
